Part-Time Retail Associate Position

Play It Again Kids is a Boutique Children’s Consignment store in the heart of Nelson. We seek to help out parents and care givers by providing affordable and fun options, and offering the styles and quality everyone wants, at prices all can afford.  

 

We need a Part-time Retail Associate who shares this belief and embraces our goals of sustaining and developing our business, local and global environment and communities through our services, commitment to recycling and humanitarian support. 

 

Qualities You'll Need:


Our Retail Staff are vital to delivering our high standards of customer service… standards which keep customers and consignors coming back, time-after-time.

 

You’ll be a confident self-starter who is ready to hit the ground running in a busy and fun working environment. You’ll have a natural affinity with people and especially children, display an understanding of customer needs, and be willing and able to develop your skills and put these to work!

 

While you'll be required to work as a part of a team to meet store objectives; your individual responsibilities will also require you to demonstrate good customer service and sales skills, keeping the store stocked with merchandise, creating displays and organizing stock areas. 

 

You will need a good eye for detail, and show exacting standards when it comes to selecting consignor inventory.

 

Preference will be given to candidates with recent knowledge of maternity and children’s clothing, toys, books and equipment.

 

 

 
Job Responsibilities Include:
 
  • Book and administer consignor appointments

  • Assist clients with their customer service needs 

  • Cleaning and helping to organize store and stock room areas

  • Cash handling duties

  • Keep up-to-date with product knowledge to better assist customers

  • Manage customer situations and cultivate strong client relationships

 

Job Requirements:
 
  • Previous experience in retail/sales or customer service preferred, but not essential

  • Must be physically fit and capable of lifting up to 40lbs

  • Strong understanding of customer service needs and customer priorities 

  • Must be articulate, presentable, friendly and outgoing

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Must be able to regularly commit to 2 - 3 days weekly (flexible scheduling)

  • Be comfortable using computers
