Play It Again Kids is committed to customer service and satisfaction. We offer a 7 day return policy on all new (store sourced items) in exchange for a full refund or store credit.
Consigned items carry a 7 day return policy in exchange for store credit only, provided tags are still attached and items are returned in the original condition of sale. Consigned items returned after 7 days from purchase date may be re-consigned with us, provided the condition is good.
A consignment store is a retailer that hand picks second-items from private individuals who are selling their things, and then sells these (on behalf of the consignor) to the general public. These items may be brand new, gently used or be older but have classic or vintage appeal.
Customers either pay cash for the items, or if they themselves are consignors, they may use their credits to buy things. The customer is happy because they get smoking deals, and the consignor is happy because they just earned cash or credit for items that they already had use out of that they would otherwise have just given or (horror) thrown away! It's a win win.
The items for sale are owned by the consignor until the moment of sale, at which point ownership is transferred to the buying customer, and the store and consignor both receive their cut from the sale.

No, our store is open to everyone; you do not need to be a consignor to enjoy shopping here (though most customers do also consign with us).
Although our prices are often comparable to some thrift stores, the big difference is that we pay people who bring in their items to us. This means that people bring their best stuff to us, and they donate things we won't accept to the thrift stores.
If you want excellent quality clothing that is freshly laundered and well presented, and items that are hand chosen to fit with what our customers are looking for, then Play It Again Kids is for you.
Pricing for consignment is something of a balancing act. On the one hand we need to be aware of all main forms of competition sources for quality used and new (but consigned) items, so we can remain competitive in an ever-changing marketplace. This means checking what people are selling items for on the buy and sell sites, e-bay and via other consignment stores. We need to be seen to value items brought in by valued consignors so we can maximize the returns we achieve for them, but at the same time offer good value to customers - all while keeping consignors happy. We research just about everything, and constantly look at new prices from stores and other online sources to see what items are priced at. On most days we’re pricing over 100 items so get lots of practice, but with so many variables e.g. brand, age, condition, supply and demand and availability of substitutes…we don’t always get it right (in the eyes of some) - but more often than not, we do...as our survey in 2019 confirmed!

No we don't as a rule. If we had someone bring in a car seat that was new and in the box, we may, but that would be very rare.
Yes, we offer a free Wish List service for equipment and more significant items. We are unable to offer this service for shoes and clothing, due to the high turnover of these items.
Note; there may be a wait list for certain more popular items. This works on a first come first served basis.
Our store at 458 Ward Street is all on ground level, and we have custom-made double doors which can easily allow access to wheelchairs. Our aisles are relatively wide as we initially designed the space to accommodate strollers throughout.
There are no stairs or split levels in this new space, but please note no customer bathroom is available.
This was something we used to offer, but due to relatively low demand we decided to discontinue this service so it is no longer available.
With over 2000 active consignors on our books, we have a constant stream of items coming in all the time, so every day will see lots of exciting new treasures.
