Play It Again Kids is a Boutique Children’s Consignment store in the heart of Nelson, BC. We seek to help out parents and care givers by providing affordable and fun options, and offering the styles and quality everyone wants, at prices  all can afford. 

Who We're Looking For:


We need a Student Retail Associate for the fall and winter season who shares these values and embraces our goals of sustaining and developing our business; local and global environment; and communities. We strive to do this through our services, commitment to recycling and meeting the needs of local children and families.

 

Our Retail Staff are vital to delivering our high standards of customer service… standards which keep customers and consignors coming back, time-after-time.

 

You’ll be a confident self-starter who is ready to hit the ground running in a busy and fun working environment. You’ll have a natural affinity with people and especially children, display an understanding of customer needs, and be willing and able to develop your skills and put these to work!

Students
About The Position:

 

This is an entry level, temporary contract role, for approximately 8-14 hours a week during the the fall and winter. The position starts early Fall and goes to Spring 2024.
 

While you’ll be required to work as a part of a small team to meet store objectives, your individual responsibilities will also require you to demonstrate good customer service and sales skills.  

 

You will need a good eye for detail, and show exacting standards when it comes to selecting consignor inventory.

Job Responsibilities Include:
 

  • Book and administer consignor appointments

  • Assist clients with customer service needs 

  • Help with merchandise pricing & displays

  • Process sales

  • Research product information

  • Cash handling duties

  • Photograph items and add to website / social media

  • Clean and help organize store and stock room areas

 
Applicant Requirements:
 

  • Applicants must be a hard-working full time student, enrolled in a full time educational program continuing in September, 2023

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

  • Must be aged 15 or older prior to employment start date

  • Must commit to working up to 14 hours each week (longer over school holidays)

  • Previous experience in retail/sales or customer service preferred, but not essential

  • Must be physically fit and capable of lifting up to 40lbs

  • Show an understanding of customer service needs and customer priorities 

  • Must be articulate, presentable, friendly and outgoing

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Be comfortable using computers
