Play It Again Kids is a Boutique Children’s Consignment store in the heart of Nelson. We help parents provide fashion-forward, affordable options for their kids - offering the styles and quality everyone wants, at prices all can afford. 


Who We're Looking For:


We need a Student Retail Associate, who will commit to delivering a high standard of customer service.

You’ll be a confident self-starter; ready to hit the ground running in a busy and fun working environment. You’ll have a natural affinity with people and especially children, display an understanding of customer needs, and be willing to develop your skills and put these to work!


About The Position:


This is a paid temporary, part-time role, for up to 15 hours a week during spring and full-time temporary (up to 35 hours weekly) over the summer holidays. Work hours would be designed to fit with your study needs. You would be required to work every Saturday, during the School Session and possibly a few hours during the week (should you have a spare). 

You’ll be expected to work as part of a team to meet store objectives and will have your individual responsibilities. You must also demonstrate good customer service and interpersonal skills.  

You will need a good eye for detail, and show exacting standards when it comes to selecting consignor inventory.


Job Responsibilities Include:​
  • Servicing customers with their shopping needs

  • Assist with web, marketing and social media initiatives

  • Help update and maintain database, and customer lists

  • Cash handling

  • Organizing and preparing items

  • Reviewing and selecting products for resale

  • Helping with merchandise pricing & displays

  • Researching product information

  • Cleaning and helping to organize store & stock room area

Applicant Requirements:
  • Applicants must be a full time student, enrolled in school throughout the employment period

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

  • Must be aged 16 or older prior to employment start date

  • Some experience in retail or customer service preferred (but not required)

  • Must be physically fit and capable of lifting up to 40lbs

  • Be a quick learner and show a genuine interest in self-development

  • Demonstrate an understanding of customer service needs and customer priorities 

  • Must be articulate, presentable, friendly and outgoing

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Must be able to commit to working approximately 10 - 15 hours each week before summer vacation and 35 hours per week during summer.

  • Be comfortable using computers
