Great selection of quality new and used toys and games
When local children outgrow their toys, and they are still in good, playable condition, they often end up at Play It Again Kids.
We are fortunate that in Nelson we have some wonderful options for quality toys, including Secret Garden Toys, Mountain Baby, and Through the Looking Glass. Many of our consignors also shop online or receive toys from other cities, and even other countries, which means at Play It Again Kids you can sometimes score a find that's just not available elsewhere in the Kootenays.
We don’t insist that toys are completely perfect (otherwise we’d only get toys that kids had little interest in!) but we only consign toys that still have considerable play value and are safe, and free from recalls. We consign and sell toys that are suitable for children from new-born baby stage all the way to pre-teen.
Sure it's time consuming, but we count the pieces in every puzzle (if under 200 pieces) and games, to ensure they’re complete. Otherwise we’ll mark items ‘as is’ if we feel there’s still play value, even if not 100% there (for example with some LEGO or Playmobil sets).
We try to ensure that all toys we sell are as clean as we can get them!

A greener way to buy toys
Did you know buying toys from us is a very green option? What better way to teach your child the values of recycling, helping the environment and basic economics, than getting them to consign the toys they've outgrown and use their credits to get toys, clothing, books or movies they want?
Most toys that are not passed on to others end up in landfills, so by purchasing gently-used toys you are effectively recycling, reducing the need for unnecessary packaging, and subsequently also reducing the effects of off-gassing in you home. Activity Centres - Baby activity toys with lights, sounds, shapes, mirrors etc. for stroller, play-yard, crib or floor in wood or soft fabric.
Play Mats - Padded fabric 'tummy-time' mats with activities for babies with hanging toys, also shopping cart covers with toys.
Baby Bouncers - Jolly Jumpers, Evenflo Excersaucers, Merry Muscles bouncers, Jumperoo etc., bouncer chair etc.
Musical Toys - Baby Einstein toys, percussion instruments for kids, drums, mini-pianos, xylophones etc.
Bath Toys - Bath stickers, bath shape sorters, rubber duckies, floating plastic boats, water toys etc.
Play Kitchens - Play food, cook sets etc - wood and plastic play kitchens, felt and wood food from Melissa and Doug, Educo, Plan etc.
